    Lord Middleton/Midleton and Fanny Pelham's marriage took place this morning at Stratton St. by Mr. Courtail. Lady Pelham going down with them to Pepper Harrow, thence to Stanmer with Lord Pelham, Harriet, Middletons and Brodricks for Christmas. Signed and sealed on Wednesday last. Tom to Town looking thin, taking the bark. Regiment gives him trouble. Went to the Opera, saw Miss Mary [Pelham], Mrs. Townshend not in London, their house not finished. Went to Court and Play yesterday. Dining with Mr. Parker at Sir Joshua [Reynold’s]. Grantham's good health reported by messenger. Waddilove's letters confirm this. Mentions rupture or general reconciliation, it must be sometime before what they want to happen can [Grantham being recalled from Spain]. Longs to be at Saltram, but so far away, ought to be in Town for the Birthday.
