    Lord Pelham went to Stanmer last Friday. Fritz has dined alone since. Will not be sorry to leave London tomorrow morning. Hopes to be with the Pelhams for dinner. Send Post Chaise to Mr. Folstone’s in Grosvenor Meuse. Two letters from Grantham. All well in Spain. New Embassador expected here in early July. Must see him before going to Devon. Weather may be warm enough for bathing at Brighthelmstone. Lord Pelham lost his cause about the Lisle Estate. The Chancellor did not see sufficient grounds for granting commission. Queen's House last night. Madame Schwellenberg interrupted them. Ranelagh on Friday, Sir Joshua will soon have it to himself. Town thinning. Hopes Mr. Parker finds his Militia in good order etc.. Dined with Lord & Lady Fitzwilliam who will be in Essex all summer. Stratton Street; nobody but Mrs and Miss Stainforth & Lady Litchfield. Played Commerce with children, almost late for Lady Gower’s Assembly and kind of Ball.
