Fritz bored with modern travel writing. Mr. Martin's Quarto an inpenetrable secret. Mr Werthern’s Introduction to Madame de Puente Fueste in Spain. His journal told him he'd known her well in Holland which he'd forgotten. Reference to Grantham being asked if he had been suckled by a goat, questioner assumed to have heard from Madame Masseran that they "had never tetêd" [?]. Lady Pelham wrote of her missing Tom, comforted by him going to Grantham and Fritz. Calls his new niece "Misstake" until he hears her name. Reference in French to making a sottise.
