The King and most of Royal Family shooting woodcocks at Aranjuez, he kills about 40 a day. Princess left to do honours of the Palace. Mr. Brymer left Madrid, but carrying no letters for Saltram as he will not be in England for a while. They should have received a letter by Mr. Potter. Gala last Wednesday, the only one occurring during Royal residence at Madrid. Went to Court in the Carousse de Gala. Had Cards a few evenings ago, one table of Loo another of Manille. Have arranged with Viry's to dine and play cards weekly, alternately at each others houses. Fritz improving at Loo. Banter regarding Grantham’s base playing and Fritz’s clothes.
