    … Feoffees to permit wife Katherine to hold all lands and tenements in Little Staughton and Great Staughton for life, then to give them to one of sons of William Crowe, brother of testator, qui adtunc maius suffic' fuerit, in tail male; remainder to right heirs. Proviso that remainderman shall pay executors £20 within 4 years after death of wife Katherine, to be disposed of as follows:- £10 towards making a causey in Little Staughton leading from ash tree before door of John Lawe towards church of Little Staughton as far as the £10 will allow; the causey to be made according to the form and making of the causey of Grofham (Graffham, county Huntingdon); 8 marks to a priest saying masses for soul for one year in Little Staughton church; 13s..4d towards repair of causey in West end of Little Staughton; 10s to Prior of Bushmead; 10s to Prior of Stonley; 6s..8d to Friars of Huntingdon; 4 marks to be disposed in making and painting the ceiling in the porch of church of Little Staughton (in factura de le Selyng and in pictura eiusdem de la porche ecclesie dicte ville de parva Stoughton); 4 marks to be disposed of in best way possible
