Scope and Content
Robinson received her second letter this morning. They have had few visitors, apart from their neighbours including Miss Lawrence. They have all had colds due to the damp weather. Discusses news from family and friends. Her brother has left to join his division at Escurial; Lord Jocelyn is to marry Miss Stapleton, daughter of Lord le Despencer with a fortune of £20000; the elder Maguire has come into Parliament for the borough of Enniskillen, and given his place at the Account Office to his son Richard. Also mentions Robert Waddilove is seriously ill, and has been ordered to Bristol.
