- Scope and ContentCopy enclosed [present] of the Paper the Dean [Francis Wanley] read to his extraordinary Chapter. The Sr. [Senior?] Prebendary was delighted. Waddilove did not go into the Chapter House to hear himself abused. The Archbishop of Wanley's Chapter has been informed. Sir F.N. is the active and standing Counsel there and yet he has said to some [Weddell and Mrs. Blacket included] that he has no involvement in the Dean's Church concerns, Chapters having Laws of their own of which he has no knowledge. Mr. Graham and one of the young ladies have the Measles. Sir Bellingham Graham? and his son called and enquired after F. Robinson and family. Beginning to expect news of Lady Grantham soon [first child's birth]. Asks if F. Robinson to be Mayor next year. Thinks Sir F.N. has designs on the Borough. Copy fo the Dean's Speech, 20th November 1781. Calls for access to the Charters and Records of the Collegiate Church of Ripon. Mr. Taylor the Steward and Mr. H. Atkinson, Attorney mentioned.
