Scope and Content
To wife Elizabeth,
all clothes, ornaments, bed and bedding she brought on her marriage: use of furniture etc. to value of £30: interest on £1,500 for life, and annuity in lieu of dower and thirds
To daughter Elizabeth Goodman,
furniture and household goods mentioned on death of wife: cottage, leasehold mill, lands etc. in Salford, Bedfordshire, for residue of term: all messuages etc. in Wavendon, Buckinghamshire, in parish of Aspley Guise, except two closes (late William Granborough's) for life: thereafter to her children, chargeable with annuity to wife
To daughter Mary, wife of Richard Wilmer,
plot of ground purchased from Francis Shouler, in lieu of ground allotted by Enclosure Commissioners in compensation for right of common for one cow in fields of Husborne Crawley: two closes in parish of Aspley Guise purchased from William Granborough (sometimes spelt Grandborough): and mill, millhouse, lands etc. in Flitwick, in trust for life: after her death, to children, Sophia, Henry, Caroline, Emma and William: interest on £1,500 on death of her mother, then principal to her children
To daughter Ann Adkins (executrix)
real estate bequeathed to daughter Elizabeth, should she die childless: on death of daughter Ann, to her children. Messuage, lands etc. in Husborne Crawley, for life: thereafter to her children, subject to annuity to Frances Grandborough: residue
To brother Thomas of Holcott, yeoman, and to kinsman Richard Goodman junior of Flitwick, miller, in trust for uses as stated above: £1,500 and real estate at Aspley Guise and Flitwick, bequeathed to daughter Mary, for life, £10 for mourning
