Ellis, when he has money, will reduce the balance due to Smith. Hopes to hear Redgrave and all workmen are out of the House. Janson's beer mentioned. The weather [sic] sheep and ewes may be bought. Requests Smith's sister to send any bills. Intends to be at Newby next summer. Wants his valuation of the Hay for sale which he put at £36 including all of this year’s crop.
