    Few lines to accompany the enclosed newspaper [not present]. Missed seeing Harris, though Lady Grantham saw him. Delighted with his Visit [to Fritz?]. Going into the City tomorrow, money to pay Delapierre's and Renard's bills etc. Lord Boringdon better but feeling low. Jack and his sister [Theresa Parker] impatient to pay their duties to their [new] Aunt. Dr. Kyte brought Jack to Town today. Sat for Stuart who has he thinks improved Grantham's Picture. Saw Mrs. Worsley, directed Jem to call and close his Account with Grantham. Lady Harris to be at Esher today. Batt met Louisa in Town recently. Dined at Stratton Street. Tom [Pelham] may breakfast with Fritz tomorrow. Lord Pelham going away tomorrow. Gage dined with the Granthams; unnecessary on such a day. Lord Pelham thought to have brought some of his business to a conclusion. Tom leading a reclusive life, talking of going to Italy with Lord Worthington, parents disapprove, may oppose. Miss Mary at Stratton Street. Lord Hardwicke better. Several visits for Fritz, list pinned to this waistcoat by Grantham. God Bless them both etc...
