- Scope and ContentViolent shower yesterday cleaned the Oaks of their infestation [of caterpillars]. Bought a good mare at Boroughbridge. Waddilove's nephew discharged from the 'Blenheim' on the Pave [on the street] at Plymouth, not knowing how to reach the 'Iphigenia'. Waddilove has sent some money, Grantham has written Lord Howe and Mr. Lloyd. Wedgewood's Bill for flowerpots, send so they can check a mistake. Lady has a slight cold. Lady Grey writes a middling account of Lord Hardwicke. Mr. J. Yorke has notified his daughter's match with Mr. Carew. Tod saying all his letters etc.. Sent on "How do you" to Sir B. Graham, but he hasn't been. Will not expect Tom [Pelham?] until he sees him with Fritz. Supposes the India Bill and the Budget only Business of consequence for remainder of Sessions. Lady Bell's journey to Ely not finally settled. Wines and Black box arrived. Ground floor Apartment almost finished, plans for it. Hall and staircase next. West and East wings. Expects Weddell to be pleased. Hutchinson there today, showed him the Lions.
