    Bring down; Lady Grantham's Dolland's Glass, left in her Dressing Room. Also some cheeses, Cheshire, Double Gloucester and a quarter of Parmesan. Perhaps Ra___[?] near Addinhall's will do a whole. Linen for curtains and the carpet of the South Room. Bedding which Addinhall sent. Mention of Grates going by sea. Update on Newby grounds and house. Catterpillar on Oaks, same as last year. Old Oak better now it's not a "Y" shape. Great Holme Elm mentioned. Getting two hacks at Boroughbridge Fair. Fretwell to buy them. T. Smith confesses his ignorance of horse flesh, but is so fond of breeding as to have Yaico covered again. Waddilove given up riding his horse as it so naughty. Saw boys yesterday not sure he did them justice etc... Anxious about school Trustee Ship, said Grantham ineligible. Personal slight and affront to him [Waddlove] if not chosen etc... Grantham ready to do anything fair and right about his [W's] Pew, Cowper made it, giving him some Title to it. Not gracious about enlarging their own Pew but means to be accommodating.
