    Received his from Weddel's. Sending this one to Kirby. Bad weather [in Yorkshire] worried about Newby accounts of the last westerly wind. Garden wall seems to have made good progress. Grantham's children well. Tom's purging not quite over. Clarifies financial position, badly explained previously. Has in Cash; [£]160, at Boldero [£]800, Board of Trade [£]420, First Qr.[£]500. Using [£]600 to pay Belwood, [£]600 to pay Plumer, [£]600 to go on with. Lady Grantham, Wages and Currency to Midsummer. All paid. Story of Mrs. Walpole untrue, they are gone to Paris with Miss Dee. Their Aunt has written to Lady Lindsay to see what can be done. Sir John has already taken two [letters?]. Called at Duhernorsaie [?] to see progress of his print, will be good.
