Lord N.[North?] is to see the King about it. Lady Pelham's situation requires care. Hopes Lucy's complaints only temporary. Tom again attached to the Militia. Thank Nanny for her letter and the Dean Boy [nephew Parker] for his to Lady Grantham. Ampthill yesterday, very handsome and comfortable. Ossory glad to see Grantham. Her Ladyship seemed cross, Grantham heard she has become so. Has wandered all over the Gardens [at Wrest], many Urns, Obelisks and Pikars etc.. Lord Hardwicke no so low and nervous as he was, very uncomfortable for himself and others when he is like this. Lord Hampden and Mr. Yorke have just arrived. Longing to get to Newby and to see Fritz there. Letter from Richard [Worsley], has not had much advantage from education. Has a good letter from Jo. Yorke. No Boy ever outdid their nephew. Love to Nanny and Parkers from he and Lady Grantham, latter well. 26 July 1781.
