    Received his scold, compensated by his good account of himself. Glad he deceived the Senate, very amusing. Tom [Pelham] didn't turn up for their intended visit to old T. Townshend's. Received visits instead from Bishop of Chester [Beilby Porteus], Waddilove, Mr. J. Bastard, Sir David Lyndsay, Mr. Duff and Mr. Dalrymple. House of Commons Day. Invited Nanny to a tête , had a good talk etc., she approved his plans and alterations, may not have a sketching in time for Fritz. Batt called for news of Fritz. Storer too has been very anxious to the extent that Mrs. Brudnell wrote to him past midnight to give him good accounts. Ashamed at his not having visited the North's. The Bishop has called. Little boy [nephew Parker] came with Nanny, he had been at Mrs. Aislabies’s. Burke moves his plan for Economy today.
