    Detailed discussion of conference with Lord North regarding the vacancy for Cofferer. Ultimately they are not going to the place, but an arrangement will be made shortly and they will continue to be paid until a provision is made. Sloane mentioned. Grantham not dissatisfied with lord North, thinks he felt embarrassed etc.. Saw Lord Hinton and Vere [?] Pawlett. Lord Middleton's Estate is increasing in Ireland, hopes Ossory's is also, attack on the latter in the Paper. They had the Sp. Gazette of 29th June and Grantham has furnished them with that of 25th June, these are the specific papers called for and the only ones he was involved with. Genn's plans; Munro may bring them to Bath. Ends with talk of their "going on thro' Life" together. N.B. Lord Hinton has been at Saltram. All well etc...
