Disappointment at lack of letters for him in last packet, reasons. Read Draper's to Waddilove instead, full of minute complaints, corrections etc... Waddilove has now taken "pelting" Grantham with trivialities etc.., takes no notice. Went with Masin to see Prince La Riccia's horses exercised. Court filled up by promoted officers to kiss hands, 27 Lieutenant Generals, 46 Marchalles de Camp and 48 Brigadiers. All down to Revillajugedo are advances to L. Generals and all down Torremanzanal to Major Generals. Promotion long expected on the births of the two last Infanta's. Similar one made in 1770, about time of Falklands Affair. Dined at Moriño's. Madame Ramel there, going to Madrid tomorrow. The Portuguese have shut up house for this Sitio. She has visited a village today where her mother once had a house. Borrowed Arcos' Coach.
