Great want of ladies. Dined yesterday at Packier's. Took Waddilove today to see his pictures. Went to Public Library to look into Athanasius Kucher for the description of an Aeolian Harp. On to Nicolas' to bespeak something like one for an experient. His own music goes on well. Prefers two sheets once a week to one twice a week. Letter from M.S. today, will get horses [[for Uncle |Worsley] if he can. Mr. Gregory goes to Barcelona tomorrow. Repeats information regarding Scagliola desert [see 17 July L 30/15/54/59]. Daily expecting his oblesks and urns from Gibralter. Seward has returned from there. Still awaiting Diego and case. Madame Smissaert must long to see Frederick after Grantham has talked so much of him. She thought their nephew strongly.remember Grantham. Drinks a quart of cow's milk every morning etc.. Drinks Orgeat after the Promenade, tonight had Currant Ice.
