    Hopes he is now free of gout. Jack writing regular good accounts of himself. Proposes being in Leicester tomorrow. He gives a bad account of Harry Pelham. Wrote to Lady Grantham, Lady Pelham and Lady Sydney. Latter replied today. The King and Queen go to Cheltenham for a month, for the King's health, on Sir G. Baker's advice. Miss Mary Pelham not well, wants to persuade her to come to Saltram for a month but thinks there is no possibility of her leaving her sick sister. Little Girl and Anne go on well, little variety but much ease and quietness. Lady Sydney hoping to leave Town in ten days. 'The Glory' is to be launched today, declined an invitation from the Commissioner to attend. Edgcumbes not down yet. Mr. J. York and a son of the Bishop expected at Anthony yesterday. Paid £18.18.6. to Jack for bills, and £10.10.0 for his pocket. To Mr. Andrews for the journey £50.0.0. Mr. Pearce [the Steward] is better. Nothing more of robbery. Jack is at Warwick Castle today by express desire of Lord Lansdown. Wrote from Tewkesbury. Keeping a journal. P.S. They are not staying at Mr. Andrewes house at Leicester this time but at Mrs. Bunney's and an old widow Lady's, a friend of Mr. A.
