Update on Lord Boringdon's health. Mr. Anscot left on Saturday. Mr. Sisum gone this morning. Latter felt Mr. Boringdon's pulse daily. Assize week, some of the Council but not the Judges expected, assume Mr. Burk and the new member for Caln and Sergeant[?] Rook will come. Always miss Mr. Batt at this time. Lord and Lady Macclesfield called on Sunday morning on their way home from Dock where they had been with General Parker and his wife viewing the new works. Didn't see General Parker [?ambiguous] as he was in Physick for fatigue. Mr. Radcliffe stayed for two days, gay and gracious etc. Hope Ralph and Richard's [Worsley] Legacy will turn out something good. Hope they caught no cold by their expedition on the water, although Mrs. Robinson bathes, neither of them can afford to be wet through. Glad her mare turns out well. Jack fond of his Bay Mare, riding with more courage now. Haven't heard from Mr. Andrews. Captain Pole still at Spithead, his sister Mrs. Cox just died. Nothing of Mr. Carew. Lady Grantham wrote to Jack etc.
