Lord Boringdon thinks Frederick should apply to Mr. Pitt for Mr. John Buller's place in the Treasury, the necessity of applying early offsets any impropriety of him waiting on Mr. Pitt at such a time etc... Captain Pole detained in Town by Buller's death, who was his uncle. Don't know when he'll be leaving with Jack. Concerned about corresponding with Lady Grantham, not in the habit of writing to her but doesn't want to appear inattentive or disrespectful by not writing on this occasion etc... Glad De La Piere [sic] staying with her and the children.
