- Scope and ContentMr. Parker away at the Assizes. Supposes they will have the Judges on Sunday, bad custom. Will more likely see Mr. Batt. Lord Ashburton extremely ill at Exmouth. Lady Sydney likely to come on from Lady Chathams., will be glad to see her. Wishes Miss Mary Pelham would come with her but she says it's impossible, angry that Sydney to see Saltram without her. Writing to Aunt Stainforth and Lady Pelham. Supposes Richard and Ralph [Worsley] are enjoying being at Newby [Park]. Believes Captain Keppel will not go to Newfoundland at all. Glad nephew promises to be so great an Architect. Jack has just bet half a crown that the next relation at Newby will be a boy etc.. Hopes to hear from Grantham when use of his right hand is recovered.
