    Happy at good account of Lady Middleton. Tom [Pelham] also wrote. Lord Edward's match Anne thinks she first told Frederick of at the Opera. Glad to hear Duchess of Devonshire's [Cavendish, Georgiana?] situation confirmed [not specified]. Nobody at Kitley Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Bastard and Mun only sleep there, they dine everyday at Mr. Lanes at Cofleet, where Mrs. Bastard the widow lives, she has been very ill but recovered. Mr. Bastard left a will; £20,000 to Mun, £500 a year and house in Manchester Square to Mr. Bastard. Aunt Stainforth not gaining strength as she should by now. Making their usual winter visit to Mr. Anscot next Thursday. Captains Conway, Waldegrave and Keppel dined today. Sir John Jervis went on Sunday morning to Town. Christmas wishes and Happy New Year.
