    Hope Grantham does not repent of his decision [not specified]. Mr. Parker does not return from the Assizes at Exeter until Thursday. Fine hot weather and haymaking. Saltram air agreeing with all of them. Mr. Batt expected end of next week. Devonshires expected Friday. Lord Lincoln has taken a home at Plympton. Regiment encamped at Boborough. Hasn't heard from Miss Mary [Pelham]. Lady Pelham wrote last post. New nephew seems to be forgotten now his father is grown such a great man [Foreign Secretary 1782-83]. Mrs. Grey has a fine little boy, reminds her of nephew. Dining there tomorrow with both children. Fleet in sight of Enemy by all accounts.
