- Production dateFrom: 1777 To: 1777
- Scope and ContentBottle Pails being made. Plateau ready soon; details of difficulties with the designs etc. For Robinson's and the Nuncio's. Giving Bey..is[?] the Antiquarian the commission if he hears nothing from them before leaving Rome. Pielar[?] has nearly finished his head. Mengs has little left to do to Grantham's portrait. Where should it be sent? Mengs has offered to take Pelham to any Palaces or Churches to show him the pictures. Went with him to the Vatican. He has lent him his life of Correggio and his letter to Falconet with the answer etc. Dined with Azara recently. Has been very kind to him. He is currently involved in an excavation at the Villa Regsoni[?]. Few English there, all going next week except Mr. Jore's[?] family. Hasn't read Gianoni as they advised, thinks Denina's Revoluzioni d'Italia better for a traveller, supplemented by Maurotoni and Gianoni. Glad to hear Mr. Parker well recovered.
