Secretary of State to introduce him at Court on Thursday. Mr Hales who is in the Academy is much noticed by Comte Aguilar. Sir Francis Hobourn, sisters and brother in law Mr Cozens are there. Mr Colbourn and his Governor Mr Shebear "(who has not yet lost his ears) seem very genteel". Young Spence came from Lyons with Pelham. He has left his wife and family in England. Pretended to be shamed and afraid to return. Pelham promised to carry him to Rome on condition he returns to his family afterwards. Congratulations on Dr. Porteus's being made Bishop.
