Papa made him offer chocolate, fruit etc... and to ask if he knew the pictures. Said General Guise was Lord Bathurst, didn't know Lord Lansdown's, Sir J. Harts he knew, said colonel Barré[?] was a great friend of Lord Shelburne. Knew Grantham and "de brother". Said Admiral Borrington was Lord Barr. Slept at Mount Edgecumbe night before. Lord Edgecumbe ordered him to be saluted. Misty day and The Sampson, Admiral Milbanke and Captain Hope's ship returned salute thinking it in the Sound and being the Prince William and Captain Gower. The Prince passed by yesterday morning but did not come in at Plymouth. Only Captain Pole and Mr. Ley there at present. Has a big Galloway horse, half sister to Saltram. Fine weather, corn almost saved. Mr. Ley checking his Task, sends compliments. The Cook, Butler and Papa's Band of Musick to go to Mount Edgecumbe on 14th. Cook has already been once. There are to be four rooms with dinner and four tables in each. Hope the little boys do not forget Jack Parker.
