Travelled via Bath as H.M. occupying direct road from Dorchester. Royal Family dined at Escot on Thursday. Details of their visit to Exeter. Levée; Corporation of Exeter and Church people. Saltram this morning. Mr. Gorton spoke highly of accommodation, 52 beds etc... Henry Ley has seen Lord Courtown, letter of introduction from J. Ley. Lord Courtown attendant on the Corporation of Exeter and at Saltram. H. Ley gone to Saltram, J. Ley may go if there's a Levée. Sir G. George[?] said that Mr. Montagu P.[Parker?] offered to attend H.M. at Saltram but was not accepted. Captain's Guard at Merrifield sometime, hope they continue.
