- Scope and ContentObliged for his letter and his decision which has relieved Ley's anxiety. Lord Sydney has written to know whether there is any venison at Saltram in consequence of a request from Mr. Gorton to Lady Sydney. Told him Robinson ordered venison to be preserved for H.M's visit a long time since. Referred Gorton to Mr. H.L. [Henry Ley] for further information regarding provisions for H.M. at Saltram. The Storm to take place next Tuesday, will go end of next week when the Storm in and near Exeter is subsided. The Bishop [John Ross] is obstinate and refused Palace to the Kind. All other preparations satisfactory.
