- Scope and ContentThat over 60 and well acquainted with Jacob Ayres, formerly of Roxton, farmer, who died about February 1820. Remembers Jacob Ayres being for upwards of 15 years before death in possession of cottage divided into 3 tenements, a blacksmiths shop, yard, garden and orchard at Roxton, near Church there, purchased by Jacob Ayres from James Ibbett, blacksmith. Bounded on 3 sides by Tempsford Road, Town Street and Church Yard and Church Way of Roxton and on other side by property which belonged to Jacob Ayres and was purchased by him from trustees of William Bird. First estate devised by Will of Jacob Ayres to Joseph Scruby and wife Mary, and James Church in equal shares, part of which estate adjoining said property was bought from the trustees of the Will of William Bird and now owned by William Flitton of Hail Weston, Huntingdonshire, farmer.
