    Reciting Will of Joseph Biscoe, late of Inner Temple, London, esquire, dated 1 January 1749/50, whereby he subjected his messuages, lands and hereditaments in Bedfordshire with the payment of £1,000, part of the debt owing by him for the portion of his daughter Bethia Calamy in marriage settlement with Reverend Mr Edmund Calamy with 4% interest, and Biscoe devised the said messuage and lands to his son Elisha Biscoe his heir for ever. And whereas Bethia Calamy survived her husband Edmund Calamy and is now dead and by her Will appointed Edmund Calamy (i)) her only child sole executor. Whereas Elisha Biscoe has paid Edmund Calamy (i)) all the interest for the sum of £1,000 on 30 November inst. This indenture witnesses; that i) in consideration of £1,000 paid by Elisha Biscoe has remised, released and discharged the said messuage and lands late of said Joseph Biscoe and now of the said Elisha Biscoe, situate in County of Bedfordshire.
