    Recites indentures of 4, 5 October last between i) Sir Christopher Hatton, baronet, Mary Davies of Goldington, widow and her four sons, Francis Foore and Elizabeth his wife, and John Nodes, clerk and Ann his wife, William Farrer, gentleman; Edward Bourne, clerk; Francis Brace, esquire; ii) of John Whitbread and Richard Watford of Goldington, whereby i) to ii) in trust for Whitbread and assigns for ever, granted cottage and lands hereinafter mentioned Note this indenture witnessed that i) in consideration of 5s and peppercorn rent has released to ii) …cottage with appurtenances in Goldington now or late in occupation of Mary Ward, widow, and piece of ground adjoining containing about ½ acre lying on S. side of highway from Goldington to Howbury, land of John Whitbread W., Mr John Haselden junior E. …also several pieces of arable and meadow in the open fields of Goldington, viz: in Windmill Field …two lands containing 1 acre lying on Renhold brook furlong, land of the said John Haselden on S., and John Whitbread N. also 6 lands more in same field containing 2 acres, land of John Haselden on the N. of 5 of the said lands, and John Whitbread on S. of the other single land, the said John Haselden both N. and S., and all butting on Reynold brook E. also 15 lands on the furlong next East Mead with their headlands lying next St Neots highway containing 4½ acres, Mrs Davies E., Mr Haselden senior W. one single land throughout both furlongs containing ½ acre, Mrs Risley W., John Haselden senior E. in River Field …7 lands containing 3½ acres, land of Mrs Risley on W., and Richard Watford E., abutting S. on narrow highway …one close of land lying in the Lee field being every years land called Foy(?) close containing 10 acres, land of Mrs Risley lying on S. and W., John Haselden junior N. …2 roods more lying in a furlong called every years land, land of Mrs Davies lying on S., John Haselden senior on N.
