    Response to above. Measures to be taken in absence of Committee for Estates of Sir Norton Robinson. Frederick Robinson & Lady Grantham to remain tenants another year & to underlet all grounds from Michaelmas next for one year, trusting to justice of Master of Chancery not to be charged with full rent. Ellis & Thomas Smith to arrange underlet, excepting Newby Park. Kitchen Garden to be maintained by present Gardener or another proper man for the use of Rainton Gate Lodge. Flower Garden at riverside also. Thomas Smith's accounts & list of livestock . Required. Filly from F. Robinson's black mare to be sold on F. Robinson's account. Keep a few of youngest Alderney cows. Old dun mare to have shoes removed & left to run in Park. Laundry Maid's journey to London allowed Further measures cannot be taken until appointment of Committee next term. F. Robinson will apply to Court of Chancery for both Trusts. Expects cousins must, if they haven't already, petition Court in his favour. If appointed recommends no change in Sir Norton's situation ... Let out Estate, keep Park in care of faithful servants. Pride & pleasure in not letting Newby decay.
