Mrs. James Martin; hope Grantham approves of their friend's choice & the boy's he has made. Seconding; hope Grantham and Mr. R. pleased with manner of it. Lort says he was pleased by Grantham's speech. Reference to him being DD. When Grantham visits most & right Reverend's at Lambeth, leave a card for him. Ch.J. of Eyre. 8 December 1779. Letter from Mr. Crispin, sends his compliments etc...quoted. Referred Dr. Lort to Mr. Robinson concerning Don Belluga who's name has been proposed to the Royal Society etc... Apology for trouble occasioned by Dillon's letters. Flooding prevented visit to Topcliffe. 9 December 1779.
