Letter from Eagles & Son at Ampthill to Thomas Wing: “Mr Day wrote to inform us of the arrangement he had made with you and Mr Adam and that the papers were to be delivered to Mr Bennett who would have Mr Adam’s instructions to pay £200, the Sum agreed upon, we have been therefore expecting a Communication from Mr Bennett making an appointment to settle perhaps you will be good enough to instruct him to do so. Mrs Evans is in a very precarious state of health and it may be will to settle the matter as soon as practicable”.
