- Scope and ContentLetter to Thomas Wing from Thomas Bennett at Woburn: “This is the first attempt at writing for mainly three weeks, but I am anxious to attend to you as early as my health will advise, as Evans’ business is pressing & I fear I have sadly interfered with your arrangements. I now think I can safely say that I will be well enough for you by the End of next Week if that time suits you. I should suggest that if you can arrange to come to me by Thursday’s Woburn Coach, we will start, for certain on Friday morning at Cranfield & Ampthill & on Saturday if we find necessary to go to Bedford. We can go down in the morning and see Tween & if you are obliged to be in Town that night, the Lord’s Chaise pass through at the 6 clock & you are sure of a Seat. Let me hear from you by return of post & make your own arrangements for any time that suits you if the time I mention does not”. “You will see by this hand I am evidently in a weak state. I have had rather a heavy to severe attack”.
