Letter to Thomas Wing from Edward Bennett at Woburn: “My Brother desires me to say that though better than he has been he is still confined to his room and he is afraid he will not be able to undertake any business so early as Wednesday or Thursday next. He has had a very kind letter from Mr Adam who advises him not to return too soon to work & requests he will not think of doing so until he obtains the doctor’s free consent & judging from appearances I should think that will not be given for the next 10 days or fortnight. The accident no doubt exaggerated the complaint, but the principal cause of his present weak state is low bilious fever, attended with diarrhoea”.
