Received letter from Algiers. Describes Castle Grant & surrounding area. Sir James's planting etc.. Returning tomorrow via Aberdeen. Mr. & Mrs. Martin visited on way up North. Impressed by Dr. Robertson at Edinburgh. May visit again on way back. Still waiting to hear from Mr. Pelham about their Journey to Spain. Boehm visited Castle Grant in Summer with recommendation from Tom Pitt. Couldn't get ship to Bergen. When he arrived, Sir James sent Chaise and baggage to Inn not knowing that Boehm not troubled with these. Compliments from Dr. Robertson, Dr. Spense & Sir J.G. Little hopes of poor Lockhart's recovery.
