The glasses are the most useful part of the Canteens etc. Hasn't heard whether porter arrived. Captain Cooper for Bilboa, on board; Staffordshire Ware for Count Massin and two Wiltshire cheeses from Browne with Yorkshire hung beef for Grantham via Brodeir's, Bilbao. Nuncio's Coach may be on board. Lobkowitz's perhaps not. Discussion about borders on both. Sps. [Sparre's] Chaise near finished, colour & trim described. Hears nothing of travel arrangements with Mr. Pelham, thinks Mr. W. [Walpole?] may invite them to house if in Lisbon. Intending to ride to Mr. Aislabie's [Studley Royal]. Mr. Ellis has been over to Cherry Burton to view the "ruins". Not allowed full compensation for them, future arrangements for habitation of house.
