Waddilove offered to wait, can assist through Spain. Otherwise will keep his engagement with Colonel Ross through France, Barcelona. Colonel Boyd has written to Colonel Ross to take charge of Bobby Baird. Latter has written to Ross to be one of their party - can find one for him as a Caravan seems preparing to set out from London for Madrid. Waddilove applied to for Mr. Palmer, a gentleman traveller & Mr. Burgh, a man of business, traveller for Cadiz. Will tell them to buy Twiss’ book [Travels through Portugal & Spain]. Published today. Martin has "thrown away" £1.11.6. upon it. References to Madrid do not make Grantham his principal hero etc. Quotes from book.
