    "To my dear and loving wife Mary King, cottage in Little Staughton in occupation of Henerie King with orchard, during her lifetime and after her decease to daughter Mary King and her heirs, for want of such heirs to son William King To wife £40 To daughter Mary £30 at age of 21 years or on her marriage day, and lawful interest each year every half year to be paid by executor until she is 21, towards her better maintenance and education. Over and above £30 executor to pay to Mary 20s every half year until she is 14 years To son John King £60; to son Richard all my stock and crape of what kind and nature which shall be upon my farm at Renhald together with all utensils of husbandry and household goods; to son William all cottage in Little Staughton in occupation of Earnest Brace and 3½ acres arable land, 21½ acres meadow in occupation of Thomas Darret; to son William £40 when 21 years. Executor to pay lawful interest every half year to trustees for whole use of son William for his better maintenance and education. To son William £10 to be paid to executors to put him out as an apprentice to some trade as soon as he shall be capable of it. In mean time executors shall provide for him all necessary cloathes and washing, diet and lodging and when put out as an apprentice to furnish him with all things necessary for such an apprentice Household goods at Bolnhurst to wife those only which she brought with her when I married her , and the residue, except great kettle, which I give particularly to son John, to be divided between three children, son John, son William and daughter Mary. And for the better instruction and assistance of my executors I do earnestly desire and intreat my loving neighbours, Peter Tompinks of Bolnhurst and Richard Parker of Thurly to assist my executors to the best of their skill and knowledge, the said Peter Tompinks and Richard Parker to take into their hands the yearly interest of the £40 given unto my son William and to employ same as they think most convenient for use and benefit of my son William. Also said Peter and Richard to assist my executors upon putting out to interest on good security any of the legacies which are not payable unto son William and daughter Mary until they come to age and that they would assist my children in dividing any goods so there may be no quarrels or controversies arise amongst them, and for their care and trouble I give said Peter and Richard 40s Lastly I do make …son Richard King.. executor" Endorsed: Willyam King November 1st, 3 years interest"
