    John Gregory, died seized of:- …cottage purchased by George Gregory, father of John Gregory of William Crowe, late of Little Staughton, with pightle adjoining (1 acre) in an Endship called Overend next land of William Crowe deceased W. and common street E., abutting land of Charles Gery, esquire N. and S. 2 acres close between common land E. and common field W., abutting S. on ground of late Thomas Haines, together with a border of sward ground 3ft in breadth lying on W. of close to make a ditch to preserve hedge, purchased by John Gregory of Francis Negus. 3½ acres close of pasture called Peares Close in Upper End, between common street E., ground of heirs of John Thody W., abutting N. on field of William Crowe deceased, S. upon Pepper Lane, now in possession of Thomas Smith, purchased by John Gregory of William Crowe ½ acre close of pasture next cottage (above mentioned), Pepper Lane S., N. common green, E. and W. common field All of which descended to Elizabeth Smith, wife of Thomas Smith, and Mary Park, wife of Thomas Park, daughters of John Gregory, who have given their consent with the advice of Henry Haines of Keysoe and Thomas Cooper of Colmworth for an equal division of the above mentioned into 2 parts:- To Thomas Park and wife Mary:- Cottage with appurtenances and 1 acre pightle adjoining 1 close of 2 acres and border of sward and ½ acre of pasture Henry Haines and Thomas Cooper have allotted Thomas Smith to pay Thomas Park £2..10s for close of pasture called Peares Close, 3 acres Witnesses: Thomas Hall, Thomas Chapman, G Vaughan
