Compares former with Salisbury Cathedral. Elegant marbles. Fine slab of Agate on an Altar. Joined Mr. Wall [Richard Wall] after leaving Toledo. Stopped in the Sierra morena at Penuuela, capital of new Poblacion. Coach overturned on way to Sota de Roma, country house given to Wall by the King. Wall happy to receive Frederick if he does decide to visit Andalucia. President of Council's Coach waiting upon their arrival at Granada to take them to the Inn. Thence to Mr. Wall's house, out of town, at 12 p.m. Dog given by Mr. Wall to Baird to compensate for one killed by coach wheel during accident. Just returned from seeing the Alambra and Geralife. Former, Moorish Palace with additions by Charles V. Mr. Wall has an excellent copy of the Se(i)niora de parce by D. Anl. Ponce[?Pons] a young man now at Seville.
