    Copy court roll, Manor of Cranfield: - absolute surrender out of court by John Field of Cranfield, gentleman, vis Ceser Deirick, one of the headboroughs, of (a) cottage in Wood End, Cranfield, in occupation of Thomas Knight; (b) cottage in Wood End in occupation of Thomas Windmill; (c) cottage in East End formerly in the occupation of William Armes, now John Keetch; (d) three closes called Home Closes in Wood End, Cranfield in occupation of Robert Slater; meadow called Hulls Mead containing 6 acres in Southside Field in occupation of Robert Slater; (e) 2 roods of arable in Cow Mead Way Furlong in Lean Field in occupation of Robert Slater; to the use of John Field until a marriage between him and Henrietta Courtis of Campton, spinster then to the use of John Field for his life, remainder to Henrietta for her life, remainder to their heirs and, in default, to the heirs of John Field; with proviso that John Field, with consent of Henrietta, might change the surrender
