Lord Robert Spencer resigned in January 1781 but received salary to 3 January 1782, when Commission revoked by new one under Great Seal. Story involves Sir Adam Ferguson and Lord North. Mr. Storer's Lease. Succeeded to Mr. de Grey as one of Lords of Trade. De Grey on succeeding to Peerage of Walsingham quitted seat on Board. Lord North appointed Stoner etc. Circumstances of salary continuing to De Grey. Lord Shelburne and wording of short note informing Members of Board of "an approaching dissolution". Not equivalent to Act of Parliament etc...
