Has borrowed money with his brother's assistance, paid off all but 500, not worried about owing that for a while as Carlisle has won 80,000 or 30,000 this year. Lady Mary has got a daughter "Dr. Cadogan advises her[?] to suckle it to bring [?] down. Tuesday Club goes on well. Fynmore in good spirits. Storer lives in the house with the Fysh. Crawfurd [Fysh] says Storer is the "most uncomplaisant man he ever met with". Two examples, one, he refused to walk to end of Piccadilly to leave Crawfurd's name at General Cholmondley's, the other, he would not read to him whilst he took a glister [clyster, clister; enema - O.E.D.]. Crawfurd grown "devilish nasty", has developed habit of looking at handkerchief after blowing his nose... Conway going abroad with Lord Beauchamp, likely to go Spain, wishes to see Grantham.
