Translation: Most Excellent Sir Sir, Although I am glad because of the news that His Excellency gives me about the happiness of his trip, I am sorry you are suffering from pains, and despite the fact that these can be caused by the movement of the path, the agitation of the spirit or the bad weather, I have hopes that the pains soothe and His Excellency is completely recovered as it appears from the appetite and the sleep which is starting to return. I am happy that His Excellency enjoys himself because of the pleasure of taste takes one’s mind-off the bad pains, but without that dissipation the other uneasiness may be carried which wastes the strength and carries dejection and fatigue. I am satisfied that Sir Fabre agrees with the way to lead His Excellency’s nature and present condition. I beg him to present my attentions to him and also Roberto. His true servant.
