- Production dateFrom: 1778 To: 1778
- Scope and ContentTranslation: Sir, The letter with which Your Excellency honoured me on the first of last month came to me in the ordinary way from France with an stamp from England, whence it had probably passed in one of your packets, but I am pleased to think that this delay is of no consequence, and that Your Excellence has received the canteen which I had the honour of sending back to him. I have just paid Mr Lasaga of this town as you desired me to do, the £96 - the value of the travelling bed which your brother left me on his journey and which I sold for this price to Fr Fourcaile, upholsterer of this town, I could not get anything more. I am with deep respect Sir, Your very humble and very obedient servant, J Saubaigné
