Mrs. Siddons has given up representing Mepomene. George Pelham & Louisa attended play too. Former off to Stanmer now. Nanny wrote from Saltram, Jack had just arrived, no news of Boringdon. Miss Cambridge has been ill. Mrs. Robinson well. Duke of Dorset to Knowle not Paris, may be some negotiation for his Embassy. Couvert at Mr. Yorke's; Sir Joseph & Lady Yorke, Mademoiselle Hompeche & Madame Hoogenheagse, Mr. & Mrs. Brookbanks & Carews. Thick fog, no riding. Mrs. Robinson at King's will write to Lady Grantham. Fritz enclosed a pattern [not present] which Grantham hasn't seen.
