Lady Bel's [Amabel Polwarth] plans for journey. Cancelling viewing Harewood as only open to strangers on Saturdays. Fritz leaving Saturday. Sir James going Monday. Lady Harris not thought to stay long at Harrogate. Dined at Cambridge's. Called upon Mrs. Legge at Fulham. Dined at Knightsbridge with Mrs. Harris. Attended House of Commons, in a division. Then ate sandwiches at Lady Palmerston's. Jack [Parker] well at Hammersmith. Lord Boringdon went this morning. Legs considerably swelled. Breakfast at Bedford House, didn't go. Duchess broke her wrist falling downstairs at Duchess of Bolton's. Assume James [Worsley] gone, `Trusty' arrived at Portsmouth. Perhaps proper to write to Sir J. Lindsay before Dick [Worsley] quits his ship. Steele to marry Miss Lindsay. Siere/Sierre crippled with Lumbago. Glad Quick[?] has been at Newby. Portugal Scott & wife go to Kirby soon.
